NO CHANCE OF BLISTERS – WITH SIXTUS FOOT BALM
Hiking boots and high heels have one thing in common: they often cause blisters.
New shoes, long walks in rigid boots, and badly fitting socks often leave you with blisters on your feet. First and foremost on your heels, but they also appear between your toes and on the soles of your feet, or on the ball of your foot at the side. Blisters are not just painful, they can also easily turn into an open wound that is very susceptible to infections. It’s best to try and avoid blisters from forming on your feet in the first place. Sixtus FOOT PROTECTION BALM always puts you a step ahead!
WHAT IS A BLISTER, THEN?
The body forms blisters to protect itself: a blister is a pad that is filled with liquid in order to protect the injured skin against harm. It is caused when tissue fluid collects between layers of skin when they rub against each other. Sometimes it helps to stick tape or a hydrocolloid plaster over blisters on your feet. To avoid pain when you are on a hike lasting several days, first disinfect the blister and then insert a sterile (!) needle before pressing out the liquid and applying a plaster.
